Dayna DeMaine is XGYM's office manager. Her day to day duties include facilities management, membership services and information and social media administration. Prior to joining XGYM, she served on the board of directors for the dog rescue, AZK9. Dayna is a graduate of Ironwood High School and received her Associates degree, in Liberal arts, from Glendale Community College in 2015. Dayna is pursuing a degree in business management from Arizona State University.
Xavier College Preparatory Head Coach- Monica Gaspar is a Xavier alum and a Spiritline alum of the class of 1992. Monica, a graduate of Arizona State University, has coached cheer and pom for Xavier College Preparatory for the past 22 years. In addition to being a mother of 3 boys, and owning her own apparel company, Bling ‘n’ Ink, she coaches 3 teams at Xavier. She has spent 5 years coaching all-star cheer and dance teams around Arizona. In 1998, she was the recipient of the Southwest Region National Federation Coach of the Year, the 1998 Arizona State Coach of the Year and in 2005 received the AIA Women in Sports Leadership Award. She is currently AACCA certified and is a National Federation certified technical judge. She also served for four years (1999-2003) on the Board of Directors for the National Federation of Interscholastic Spirit Associations. She has been a guest speaker as well as a cheer/pom judge at conferences and competitions in Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and California. Most recently, she was awarded the 2016 Woman of Achievement Award at Xavier College Prep. The accomplishments she is most proud of are her numerous local, regional, state and national championships for both her pom and cheer teams.
Gatorline Head Coach/Stunt Coach- Stephanie Walsh is a Xavier alum and a Spiritline alum of the class of 2007. In addition to 4 years on the Xavier varsity cheer team, Stephanie also competed at AZ Power Elite for four years on their Level 5 All Girl team as well as at Arizona Myths for two years on their Level 5 and 6 College teams. Prior to her cheerleading career, she did gymnastics at Arizona Sunrays for 11 years. Stephanie graduated from Arizona State University in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and has been a coach at Xavier since 2010. Within Stephanie's four years of being at Xavier, she has led her team to both state and national championships.
Cheer Coach- Danielle Behrens will be entering her 7th year of coaching high school cheer. Within those years, Dani has been the head coach for 3 schools and acquired 5 AIA State Championships in both the all-girl and coed divisions. Dani has also coached an all-star program for 4 years receiving many accolades including choreography awards and nationals bids. Prior to Dani’s all-star and high school coaching career, she was a competitive gymnast, competed at the Varsity level all four years of high school and three years on an all-star team. Dani is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education emphasis in History and Political Science and currently serves as an Adjunct Faculty at Glendale Community College teaching Business and Information Technology.
Tumbling Coach- Chandler Clawson is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah where he began his career in cheerleading at Cottonwood High School in 2002. After Graduating in 2005 Chandler continued cheering after high school at The University of Utah in 2005, and then transferred down to Arizona in 2006 to become a Sun Devil at Arizona State University. Chandler worked with one of the largest all-star gyms in Arizona, Desert Storm Elite, for 9 years 2006-2015. He competed with Desert Storm Elite on their International Coed Level 5 and Level 6 teams at the Cheerleading Worlds with great success. Chandler is currently the head cheer coach at Cactus Shadows High School, where he has been working with the program for over 10 years. Chandler’s leadership has helped Cactus Shadows become 9X state champions, 2 time USA National Champions (2014 and 2015), and lead them to finals finishing in the top 10 among the best teams in the nation at the NHSCC in Florida for the last 4 years in a row. Chandler is currently the Service Manager at a locally owned and family operated independent repair facility Airpark Auto Clinic in the Scottsdale Airpark.
Pom Coach- Taylor VanArsdall is a Xavier alum and Spiritline alum of the class of 2011. Taylor grew up dancing at Spisak Dance Academy in Phoenix, Arizona where she danced for 15 years. Along with studio dance, Taylor also completed four years of Varsity Pom at Xavier. Taylor graduated from The University of Arizona in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies with emphasis on health, science and technology and a minor in Spanish. Taylor has also been staff member of Universal Dance Association (UDA) for the past 4 years. She has worked with many pom teams across the United States and is also UDA certified judge. Taylor has also choreographed many national routines for dance teams in Phoenix. Taylor was also an assistant pom coach at Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, Arizona for the 2015-2016 season.
